Exchange rate settlement (MNB EUR) – what does this mean in practice?

The aim of exchange rate settlement is to ensure that conversion into HUF on the day of performance is based on a uniform, transparent reference. The applied reference is: the MNB EUR rate on the day of collection.

  • What is the reference? The official EUR rate of the MNB on the day of collection.
  • When is it fixed? On the day of final settlement (on collection).
  • What does it affect? The HUF amount of the balance on the day of collection.

Example – process steps

  1. Pre-order (varieties + tray quantities + collection method: standard / pallet).
  2. Order confirmation → payment of 50% advance.
  3. Scheduled production (batch-specific handling).
  4. Collection at our site → final settlement at the MNB EUR rate on the day of collection.
  5. Further growing on according to the chosen technological route (A/B/C/D).

Planning tips (exchange rate and scheduling)

  • Align Your financial planning with the schedule: the collection date determines the day of final settlement.
  • Managing exchange rate risk: for larger volumes, it is advisable to include a reserve for the planned collection period.
  • Test order: for the first cooperation, we recommend 5–10 varieties, 1 tray per variety (system validation).

Coordination of payment and scheduling

If You share the planned volume and the preferred collection window, we will help You harmonise the payment schedule with the production timetable.
