Who is it for?
- Liner / finishing nurseries: wide range of varieties, reliable rooting, uniform crop.
Typical logic: lower number of varieties, higher quantity per variety; supplying projects. - Garden centres / local (offline) retail: season planning capability and a more continuous offer.
Typical logic: broader assortment, lower quantity per variety. - Field growers: shorter production time, no budding risk, guaranteed varietal identity.
- Breeders and variety collections: variety maintenance using controlled starter material.
Product categories in the partnership programme
1) PharmaRosa® NEONATAL
- Semi-finished propagation material suitable for finishing (tray-grown rooted cutting).
- For production under plastic, in lightly heated or cold greenhouses, as well as outdoor and field production.

- For professional retail, aiming at a faster “on-shelf” presence.
Key benefits – why is own-root production advantageous?
- Own-root technological base: no split energy between rootstock and scion, no sensitive budding/grafting point; more uniform plant performance and regeneration potential.
- Faster cycle and lower risk: production can on average be shortened by around half a year by omitting the rootstock raising period (depending on site and technology).
- Planning and volume: standardised tray system, variety-level minimums, schedulable logistics.
- Quality and identification: batch-identifiable handling, documented varietal identity.
- Flexible use: container production, integrator/supplier systems, variety maintenance.
Production routes – tailored to the target product
From NEONATAL, several finishing routes are available. The differences: cycle length, energy demand, hardiness and the dispatch window.
- A) Finishing under plastic with light heating: faster cycle for the early season – Open
- B) Cold greenhouse / unheated structure: compact plants, more natural rhythm – Open
- C) Outdoor production: hardened, robust crop – Open
- D) Field production: industrial scheduling, large batches – Open

How to start? (risk-reduced entry)
- Define your target: what finished product you need and for which time window (early vs main season).
- Select one technological route: A/B/C/D – do not use all at once in the first round.
- Trial order: 5–10 varieties, 1 tray per variety; the aim is to validate the system in your own set-up.
- Scheduling: align potting and the dispatch window with the intake date.
