About us – the system behind PharmaRosa® NEONATAL
We do not provide a “product” but a stable starting point for professional production
PharmaRosa® NEONATAL is not simply an own-root rooted cutting. NEONATAL is a system principle: varietal identity and consistent quality are not something we try to “repair” afterwards, they are fixed at the starting material and handed over in a process that is batch-level traceable.

In brief – in 6 sentences
- NEONATAL is the starting propagation base of the PharmaRosa® own-root product range.
- Standardised rooted cutting in trays – can be handled on a batch-identified basis.
- The route of the variety from mother plant to dispatch is documented and traceable.
- The conformity of batches going into packing can be aligned with the Plant Passport system.
- Quality assurance: batch identification, controlled plant protection regime (IPM), rapid intervention in case of deviation.
- Result for you as a B2B buyer: uniformity, schedulability, risk reduction.

What is PharmaRosa® NEONATAL?
Own-root rose propagation material for professional production and wholesale. NEONATAL is a 3–6 month old, own-root rose cutting rooted in trays, which you grow on and turn into finished product (in a retail pot, in a cold house or under heated conditions).
Positioning: “Professional rose production with 1,600 varieties on own roots – a stable backbone for the entire market.”
Why was NEONATAL created?
1) Professional basis: from research mindset to consistent horticultural system
The roots of PharmaRosa® go back to 1960. The research mindset present from the beginning meant that we introduced new varieties and technological solutions with measurable results – this development culture made it possible to manage roses on a systems level.
2) Roses as the main focus: quality and varietal identity
The practice of pot-grown roses has made two core principles predictable for us: reliable rooting success and consistent varietal identity.
3) Turning point: placing the full assortment on an own-root basis
After 2018 we moved to a stable, scalable production model and placed the entire assortment on an own-root basis. At almost 1,600 varieties, quality cannot be maintained by routine alone – a uniform starting point was required.
4) The role of NEONATAL
NEONATAL was therefore created as a uniform, controlled, traceable propagation basis for the entire product family.
System elements – what you rarely see, but what delivers the quality
Controlled base
Every process starts from the NEONATAL rooted cutting. Varietal identity and uniformity are not a matter of “luck”, but a deliberately organised starting point.
Batch-identified route – traceability
Growing takes place in identified units; the route of the plant from production to dispatch is batch-level traceable. In case of deviation, rapid and targeted action is possible.
Plant Passport – documented conformity
The system follows the logic of the plant passport: origin and conformity are documentable and transparent.
Quality assurance as daily practice
- batch identification and traceability,
- controlled plant protection regime (IPM),
- regulatory-grade stock and batch management discipline,
- rapid intervention in case of deviation.
Sustainable operation – not marketing, but cost control
Sustainable, controlled and forward-planned approach: minimised use of inputs, targeted interventions and maintaining environmental parameters at the necessary level (energy efficiency).

What does this mean for you as a B2B buyer?
1) Uniformity
Standardised propagation material in trays → faster and more even start in your own technology.
2) Schedulability
Pre-ordered, scheduled production + batch-identified handling → more predictable finishing and dispatch.
3) Risk reduction
Controlled starting material and a documented route matter because production success ultimately depends on three things: uniformity, schedulability and risk reduction.
